Join us at our events, walks and celebrations along the Two Moors Way

There’s always something happening along the Two Moors Way, and we’d love you to join us. Explore the communities, enjoy local talents, and meet new faces on our walks. 

Withypool Hill, Tudball’s Splats, Worth, Parsonage Farm, Tarr Steps, returning via the Two Moors Way alongside the River Barle. A walk full of contrasts with a pub at Tarr Steps, and a pub, village shop and tearoom at the finish!
From Witheridge we will head south via lanes, footpaths and bridleways, passing Millmoor Farm, Stourton Barton, Washford Pyne with its fascinating church, Lower Black Dog, Lower Brownstone and Beech Hill. Arrive at Morchard Bishop’s Memorial Hall around 3.30pm for tea and celebrations. TMW merchandise and photographic exhibition.
The walk will head north, using lanes and footpath and passing Paschoe House, Appledore Farm, Sweetfield, Clannaborough (wonderful church), Lammacott Farm, Barn Shelley, Morchard Road, Slade, Weeke and Woodgate. Don’t forget to turn around every now and then for glorious views towards Dartmoor! Arrive at Morchard Bishop’s Memorial Hall around 3.30pm for tea and celebrations. Drewston Wood, Fingle Bridge, Whiddon Deer Park, Dogmarsh Bridge, lanes to Rushford Mill, then Two Moors Way back to Dogmarsh Bridge, Hunter’s Tor, Castle Drogo (possible afternoon tea stop), Sharp Tor. Drewe Arms in Drewsteignton for post-walk refreshment!
Stowford Bridge, Western Beacon, Cuckoo Ball, Ugborough Beacon, Spurrell’s Cross, Piles Hill, Hobajohn’s Cross, and return via the Two Moors Way to Stowford Bridge and Ivybridge. Quiet roads and green lanes at start and end, with fabulous moorland walking, interesting archaeology and marvellous views.
The walk will cross Deeper Marsh, pass Spitchwick Manor, Lower Town, Leusdon, Ponsworthy, Lock’s Gate Cross and then follow the Two Moors Way to Bel Tor Corner, along Dr Blackall’s Drive above the wooded Dart valley, to Aish Tor, Leigh Tor and return to New Bridge. Steep ascent at start and towards end.
Valley of Rocks, Six Acre Cross, New Mill, Manor Farm, Sparhanger Cross, Cheriton, then then returning using the Two Moors Way, Smallcombe Bridge, Hillsford Bridge, Myrtleberry Cleave and Lyn Cleave. The walk is strenuous in places with some steep ascents and descents.
Winstitchen Farm, Picked Stones, Landacre Lane, Cow Castle and returning to Simonsbath beside the beautiful River Barle. A walk with some steep ascents and descents and fine views.
Holne Moor Leat, Combestone Tor, Horn’s Cross, Snowdon, Ryders Hill, Pupers Hill, then follow the Two Moors Way to Chalk Ford, Scoriton and Holne. Moorland tracks;a long ascent to the summit of Ryders Hill, then along the ridge to Pupers Hill. Return via Scoriton (Tradesman’s Arms) to Holne (tearoom and Church House Inn).
